Vegan Chipotle Sauce

Updated: Oct 18, 2023

My chipotle sauce is the must have sauce for sandwiches and pastas for those who crave a harmonious fusion of smokiness, creaminess, and an irresistible kick of heat!

What you'll need:

  • 1/2 cup raw cashews

  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro

  • 1/2 tablespoon chipotle powder

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

  • 1/2 cup almond milk

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • Juice from 1/4 a lime

Steps:

1. Place raw cashews in boiling water for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes drain water and place boiled cashews into a food processor.

2. Add the remaining ingredients into the food processor and pulse until the mixture reaches a smooth consistency, making sure to scrape down the sides to ensure all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

3. This creamy sauce can be used right away but placing it in the fridge for 15 minutes after blending will allow the sauce to thicken.

Overview:

This chipotle sauce is extremely easy to make, and its versatility knows no bounds. Whether you're enhancing sandwiches, drizzling it over tacos, or using it as a pasta sauce, the sauce is the perfect finishing touch to any dish. When it comes to my fried oyster mushroom sandwich and spicy creamy mushroom pasta, this chipotle sauce takes it to the next level. Check my blog for the recipe!
