There is no reason you should buy $40 jars of sea moss gel when you can make it yourself and know exactly what's in it. Sea moss is a great source of vitamins and minerals and goes great in juices and smoothies.

What you'll need:
Spring water
1/4 cup fresh fruits (optional)

Steps:
1.Take a handful of sea moss, rinse and drain.
2. Place rinsed seamoss in a large bowl and cover with spring water. Let sea moss soak overnight with a towel covering the bowl to prevent light obstruction.

3. After overnight soaking, the sea moss will be hydrated. Rinse and drain the sea moss once more.
4. Place sea moss into a high power blender. Fill blender with spring water until the sea moss begins to float and then stop. Add optional fresh fruit at this time.
5. Blend sea moss on high for 3 minutes, 1 minute at a time. Allow contents to settle after each minute before continuing to blend.
6. The sea moss will be pourable. Pour into a mason jar or an air tight container and place into the fridge for 1 hour.
7. After 1 hour, the sea moss will be in gel form. Add to your favorite smoothie or juice, or eat a spoon full by itself if flavored. Enjoy!
